Walking in response to “The action month for drug control and prevention 2020” and “the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26”
With the aim of providing wide dissemination of the harmful consequences of drugs and social evils; raising public awareness about these issues, and promoting access to healthy entertainment, the People's Committee of Ward 19, Binh Thanh District in collaboration with Ton Duc Thang College (TDTC) held the walking event at 5.30 a.m on June 20, in response to “The action month for drug control and prevention 2020” and “The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26.” The walking route started at 98 Ngo Tat To street, passing Tran Quang Long, Pham Viet Chanh, Huynh Man Dat, Nguyen Van Lac, returning to 98 Ngo Tat To.
Attending the walking event were Mr. To Thanh That, Chairman of The Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Doan Tuan Kiet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ward 19, Binh Thanh; citizens in Ward 19, Binh Thanh District together with TDTC staff and more than 100 students.
The walking event was an expression of the determination among all organizations, people and TDTC students to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of a society free of drug abuse.
